Pearland City Council on Monday voted unanimously to approve the first and only reading of a zoning change request for land at the south and north side of Magnolia Road and east side of FM 1128.
One tract of the land, approximately 13 acres on the south side of Magnolia Road, was changed from a Townhouse Residential District to a General Business Retail District. The other section, approximately 15 acres located on the north side of Magnolia Road, was changed to an Office Professional classification with a special use permit for a hospital facility.
The city council tabled awarding a bid for the construction of traffic signals at the intersection of Southfork Drive and County Roads 90 and 94.
The city council voted unanimously to approve a contract with Linebarger, Goggan, Blair and Sampson, LLP, for collection services on delinquent fines and fees owed to the city.
The city council voted unanimously to approve deducting uncollectible utility accounts from the city's financial statement.
