Charles “Chuck” Wilson, 71, lifetime resident of Galveston, Texas, passed away December 8, 2008. He was born January 11, 1937 in Houston, Texas, to parents, Albert George and Julia Ann Wilson.
He retired as Tax Assessor for Galveston County after seventeen years of service.
Chuck served in the U.S. Army and was with the 101st Air Bourne Division. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Galveston.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jual “Kay” Wilson Trawick, Sonya “Cookie” Wilson Durham; and brother, William B. “George” Wilson. Chuck is survived by his daughter, Grace Ann Talbert Watson; sister, Harriett “Bitsy” Wilson Muse; brothers, Adrian “Sonny” Wilson and wife Hilda, Robert M. Wilson and wife Margaret, Max F. Wilson, and Walter W. Wilson and wife Linda; grandson, Ian Talbert Watson; granddaughter, Emma Claire Watson; nieces, Monika, Louise, Denise, Terry “God Daughter”, Rhonda, Sandy, Julia, and Julie; nephews, James, Robert, Mark, Al, Roby, Walter, Matthew, and Jack; numerous grand nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson, Texas.
