Louise Eleanor Anderson

Louise Eleanor AndersonLouise Eleanor Anderson, age 98 and a lifelong Galveston resident, passed from this life on December 14, 2008, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center.  She is the daughter of the late Adam and Ellen Anderson.  She is the last sibling in a long line of brothers and sisters.  She is predeceased by sisters, Mary Ellen Hempel and Alice Nicholson.  Her late brothers and sisters-in-law are John H. Anderson and wife, Helen; Richard Anderson and wife, Lottie; George Anderson; Robert Anderson; William Anderson, and wife, Sarah.

 

She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Among them are Maureen Issel; Helen Lorraine and Maxwell Bloomfield, of Galveston; Patsy and Bob Beggs, of Kerrville; Jim and Dotty Nicholson, of San Antonio; Janet and Peter Dunne, of Mission Viejo, CA; Margaret Anderson, Bill Anderson, Alice and Bill Marshall, all of Houston; and the late Mary Ellen Nicklaus, of New York.  She also had a long list of great nieces and nephews, among whom are: Ellen and Jesse Perry, Jr. and Kyle Perry of Galveston; Lindsey Perry of Houston, Bill Issel also of Houston and a host of others.

 

Miss Anderson was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church.  She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 46 years of service.  She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the telephone company Pioneers, AARP, the fifty fun club, and the Edgewater Coffee Club.

 

A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 11:30 am, Wednesday, December 17th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  A rosary will begin at 11:30 am, led by Deacon John Pistone.  Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 Noon, led by Father Niall Nolan, assisted by Deacon John Pistone.  Burial will follow the service at Old Catholic Cemetery in Galveston.

 

Pallbearers will be Jesse Perry, Jr., Kyle Perry, Maxwell Bloomfield, and Bill Issel.

 

The family extends special thanks to the nursing staff at Clear Lake Memorial Heart Hospital for their loving care of Miss Anderson.
