TEXAS CITY- Louis Charles Kirk III was born on March 12, 1977, in Houston, TX to Louis Charles  and Dorothy Jones Kirk.

Louis as he was known by most of his friends as “Sac”, departed this life on Monday, December 15, 2008.

Louis was baptized at an early age at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church by the late Rev. E. L. Gates. He attended public school in Galveston and Texas City. While at Texas City  High School, Louis played football and was a terrific basketball player for the “Stings”. He was employed at G Spot Car Wash.

He was preceded in death by his father: Capt. Louis C. Kirk II; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. David Jones; Mr. and Mrs. Will Shelmon; great grand father: Richard Eldrege; great great great grandfather: John Wesley Hardin, and favorite cousin: Jason Yancy.

He leaves precious memories of his life with his mother: Dorothy Kirk Archie; children Keshoun; Deshoun and Lyric Kirk and their mother, Lois Holiday; Kamron Kirk and mother, Jessica Prior; brothers: Reginald Holiday (Lisa); Bobby and Louis Kirk; sisters: Ann Robertson; Judy Williams; Ruthie Shelmon, and April Kirk; nieces: Roselyn and Aniya; favorite aunt: Mary Yancy; godmother: Wilmer Toliver; god sisters: Charlene and Erica Mason; host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5PM on today, December 19th  followed by a wake from 7-8PM at Bay Area Funeral Parlor (FM 1765 & Hwy. 3, Texas City) under the direction of E R Johnson Family Mortuary. A service celebrating his life will be held at 12 Noon at the Avenue L Baptist Church with Pastor Dexter Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock.
