Annie Lee Moore Brown

Annie Lee Moore BrownAnnie Lee Moore Brown, 74, passed away from this life on January 1, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving husband and  friends.

Annie Lee was born May 13, 1934, in Rosa, LA to the late John and Violet Elmore Moore.  She accepted Christ at an early age, and was a member of Avenue L Baptist Church. She worked as a Head Nurse at U.T.M.B. until her retirement. Annie was a very sociable person, and enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with her husband and daughter. 

Annie is preceded in death by her parents; step father, Lester Arron; uncle, John Elmore; sisters, Susie Payne, Elsie Walker, and Ameda Spiller.

Annie leaves to cherish memories of her life,  her husband of 47 years, Edward Noel Brown; daughters, Sharon Y. Brown, Jessica Noelle Spurlock; brother, Charles Moore (Marie) of Beaumont, TX; sister, Mary Perry and Sheba.  Annie Lee would like to thank Mary S. Hawkins (Frank), Patrice M. Brantley (Pau), Reverend Thaddeus Brown (Sharon), Gregory Brown, Carolyn P. Foster, Berna M. Price, Violet M. Harris, Betty R. Wilfred Blackwell, Jamar Ross, Linda B. Coleman, Jamaine, Janyia, and Journey Spurlock, Nursing Home Health Services, caregiver, Delsia Spurlock.

Visitation will begin at 5PM followed a wake service held from 7-8 pm on Thursday, January 8th at Avenue L Baptist Church.  A service celebrating the life of Annie will be held Friday, January 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Avenue L Baptist Church, with Rev. E. R. Johnson officiating and Rev. Thaddeus Brown eulogist.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston.
