Niki Deanne Sinclair-Allen

Niki Deanne Sinclair-AllenNiki Deanne Sinclair-Allen, 35 years old, of Bayou Vista, TX, went to her eternal home on January 4, 2009.

 

Niki was born July 1, 1973, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at 7:33 AM at University Hospital to Debra Jan Mason and David Leslie Sinclair.  Niki was married to her “babes” Bill Allen on May 29, 2004, in Galveston, TX.

 

Niki graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, TX in 1991 and earned a master’s degree in physical therapy from Texas Women’s University in 1999.  Niki was currently a doctoral student at Texas Women’s University in Houston, TX.

 

Niki was employed by the Department of Rehabilitation Services at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX as a physical therapist.  During her career as a physical therapist she earned her geriatric certification, of which she was very proud.  She enjoyed serving all of her patients, but felt a special dedication to the geriatric population.

 

Niki enjoyed life and had many friends.  Niki was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #126 in Galveston, TX, and served in the position of Esquire.

 

Niki was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Durward Mason and Howard Sinclair.

 

Niki is survived by her spouse, Bill Allen; her parents; stepmother, Pat Sinclair; grandmothers, June Sinclair and Georgia Mason; siblings, James Belknap and Stephen Sinclair; and many aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces, and her very close friends Victoria and Drew Mayhew and Shawn Goodlett.

 

Niki’s family will receive visitors after 5:00 pm, Thursday, January 8th, at St. Joseph’s Church, 22nd and Avenue K, in Galveston.  An Elks Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm.  Services in Dallas, TX, will be held on Saturday, January 10th.

 

Memorials in Niki’s honor may be made to Galveston Elks Lodge #126, 1518 Tremont, Galveston, TX 77550, or to the Geriatric Division of APTA, 1111 North Fairfax St., Alexandria, VA 22314-1484.
