Sibenna Lee Woodard

Sibenna Lee WoodardSibenna Lee Woodard passed away peacefully on January 5, 2009, in her home with her family.  She was born December 14, 1924 to George and Elizabeth Johnson Spiller in Brazoria Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joshua R. Woodard Sr., her son, Joshua R. Woodard Jr., her sister, Millie Spiller, her brothers, Evan Spiller, Ervin Spiller and Wilson Alexander.

She is survived by her children: Lois Kirks (Dorsey), Evelyn Joyce Roberts, Geraldine Hebert Sandra Woodard, Michael Woodard (Julian), Harry Woodard, Wanda Woodard, Renda Hardeman and Lois Spiller (niece), nine grandchildren: Keinna Dotson, Derrick Kirks (Samantha), Sharonda Lewis, Joshua Woodard III, Christopher Lewis, Sherinna Woodard, Jamarcus Lewis, Shewanda Woodard, and Jorden Woodard; five special grandchildren; Dana Simien, Yoni Roberson, Resa Chambers, Reginald Chambers and Traniece Peterson;  fourteen great grandchildren; three siblings, Allean Spiller, Harry Spiller and Georgia Jackson; daughter in law, Precilla Curtis (Bernard); sisters- in-law: L. B. Grice, Marjie Mitchell, Hancy Spiller, Lanell Woodard, Myrtle Morrow (CK), Mary Romero (Walker), Lenora Carter (James);  my special cousins: Alice Holmes, David, Phillip, and Clifton O’Neal; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
  
Visitation will begin today at 5 PM followed by a wake services from 7- 8 PM at Bay Area Funeral Parlor (5410 Hwy 3). A services celebrating her life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church (302 N Oaks), Texas City. Burial will follow at Rising Star Cemtery.
