Dorris Louise (Dot) GuidryDorris Louise Guidry, 78 of Nederland passed away on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland with Rev. Frank Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be 5-8 PM, Sunday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Guidry was a native of Baldwin, Missouri and has lived in Nederland for the past 58 years.  She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1947 volunteered at the Ladies Auxiliary of the Nederland Fire Department. She retired as a License Vocational Nurse at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland.
Mrs. Guidry was preceded in death by her mother Maye Dickey; father Rudolph Essen; and son Dennis Guidry.
She is survived by her three daughters, Darlene Foxworth, Denise Bainbridge and husband William and Dena Martinez and husband Alfredo, nine grandchildren; Tammy Foxworth, Troy Foxworth, Angel McCord, Dennis Guidry, William Bainbridge, Ashlee Bainbridge, Courtney Bainbridge, Kayla Ely, Izabel Martinez; thirteen great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Odyssey Hospice.
