Anthony Wayne Little, Jr.

Anthony Wayne Little, Jr.Anthony Wayne Little, Jr. was born November 14, 1970, to the proud, andĀ loving parents: the late Anthony W. Little, Sr. & Deartra Hunter-Parish (Dee) of Galveston, Texas. Anthony was very devoted to his family, his late baby brother Marvin Leon Parish, Jr., and baby brother, Brandon Little. Anthony was cherished by his only sister, Dechun, who was not only his sister, also his best friend. His grandparents loved him dearly and was always there in time of need.

Anthony loved the Lord. He was very ecstatic about the Bibleā€”seeking new knowledge and insights. He loved life to the fullest.

Anthony attended Galveston Public Schools from early childhood thru High School. He obtained an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Galveston Junior College. Anthony was athletic, he played basketball and football, he was on the water polo team.

Preceding him in death was his father, (Deke); his baby brother, Marvin L. Parish, Jr.; his grandparents, Felix and Ruby Little; the recent untimely demise of his devoted grandfather, Willie B. Wynne, Sr.

He is survived by his stepfather, Marvin Leon Parish, Sr.; his devoted, loving, faithful caring mother, Deartra (Dee) Parish; his sister and confidante Dechun N. McCain (Tyrone); his darling nieces: Daelyn & Trinidy; loving and devoted grandmother Dorethea Wynne; uncles: Moses E. Hunter, Sr., and Willie Wynne, Jr. (Terri); aunts: Helen Smith (Melvin), Sharon Durgens (Elray), Julia Parish, Cheryl A. Hunter. Verette Redmond, Bishop Marie Pines, and Janice Henley; a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 9:00AM followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Avenue L Baptist Church, 2912 Avenue L, Galveston, TX, with the Rev. E. R. Johnson, Officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Galveston, TX.
