Pearland City Council on Monday voted to approve the assignment of a design-build agreement for the University of Houston-Pearland campus.
The agreement assigned the contract to one of two companies that divided from the original contract recipient, which had been approved last month, according to City Manager Bill Eisen.
"The first building will be 30,000 square feet and will be used partly by UH," Eisen said. "As their enrollment increases the university will expand into the entire building. The site has enough room for two additional buildings of similar size."
No other items were on the agenda.
