KEMAH, TEXAS - The City of Kemah and Krewe du Lac invite you to the Sixth Annual Mardi Gras Truck Parade in Kemah on Sunday, February 22, 2009. The theme of the 2009 parade is Pirates! Davy Jones’ Locker.
The fun begins at noon with line up on Harris Street in Kemah behind T Bone Tom’s. Individuals, schools, groups and businesses are encouraged to decorate their vehicles with the Pirate decor or traditional Mardi Gras colors. For safety sake, no bikes or walkers, please.
The parade will progress through the streets of Kemah while participants have a great time throwing beads and trinkets to the crowds. The parade rolls at 1 p.m.

The parade route begins on Harris Avenue, to 7th Street, Bradford Street, to 4th Street, Kipp Street to 8th Street and back to Harris.
Spectators are encouraged to bring a chair, pick a spot and be sure to have a front row seat. Admission is free.
The Post Parade “Mardi Pardi” is the perfect family celebration at T Bone Tom’s from noon to dusk. Enjoy live music with the boogie woogie masters, Ezra Charles and The Works, costume contests, arts fair and Mardi Gras market round out the afternoon.
