Raymond MillsRaymond Mills went home to be with his Lord and Savior.

Raymond was born April 10, 1943, in Galveston to Leeman and Minnie Ola Simmons Mills. Raymond was a former resident of Houston, Texas for over 30 years and was employed with Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital until he became disable. He later moved to Texas City, where has resided for the last seven years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one of his twin son, Stacy Mills; and a niece, Sharon Riles,

Raymond leaves precious memories with his other twin son Tracy Mills and ex-wife, Willie Mae Mills; son: Rev. James A. Tinsley (Gail); daughter: Tana Jordan; brothers Ronnie Riles and Michael Riles; sisters: Archie Ruth DeClouet; Sandra Williams; Shirleen Riles, and Ruby Mitchell; host of grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews; close friends, Rayfield Edwards; Herman "Mutt" Kimble and William "Burdo" Salters; and other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to staff and friends at Sea Breeze Care Center, where he has been a resident for several years and to A-Med Hospice.

Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Monday, February 9, 2009, followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Avenue L Baptist Church with Rev. James A. Tinsley officiating. Committal service will be conducted by his brother in law, Rev Arthur Nash at Lakeview Cemetery.
