ELEANOR WHILDEN TINSLEY, 82, died February 10, 2009.

Born October 31, 1926, in Dallas Tx. Daughter of W.C. Whilden and Georgiabel Burleson Whilden.

Preceded in death by husband of 59 years, James A. Tinsley. Survived by: daughter, Kathleen and husband David Ownby, grandchildren Dan and Allison Ownby, Emily and Brooks Elliott and great granddaughter, Lucy. Son, Tom Collier Tinsley and wife Cathy, grandchildren Bethany and Sam Mateosian, James Tinsley, and Claire Tinsley. Daughter Marilyn and husband B.D. Daniel, grandchildren Angela Daniel and Bill Daniel. Brother Walter Whilden and wife Jennie, sister-in-law Dorothy Whilden and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Eleanor Tinsley Park on Allen Parkway between 4 and 6 PM Thurs.  Memorial Service will be 11 AM Sat. at South Main Baptist Church, 713-529-4167.
