Malissa Rogers departed this life on February 3, 2009, at Mainland Medical Center after a short illness.
She was born in Brenham, TX on March 9, 1920, to the late Stephen and Malinda Ferguson Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and six brothers.
She leaves to cherish memories one brother, Frank Rogers and wife Alonia of Galveston; sister in law, Alice Rogers of Port Arthur; a host of nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Avenue L Baptist Church with Rev. Louis Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery
