Shedrick Wayne Collins

Shedrick Wayne CollinsShedrick Wayne Collins, 45, received his reward of eternal rest on Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster.

Shedrick was born on July 4, 1963, the youngest child of the Samuel, Sr. and Marline Collins. Teddy was a 1982 graduate of Ball High School. He furthered his education at the University of Houston. “Teddy” was an entrepreneur and operated his own car detail shop. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Shiloh A.M. E. Church. At Shiloh, Teddy was a member of the Pastor' Aide, Son's of Allen, Usher Board, and the Media Ministry. He also served as the "cook" for different functions at the church.

Teddy was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Collins, Sr., sister, Charlotte Dobbins, and brother, Calvin Collins.

Those who cherish his memory are his faithful wife, Annette Collins, three children - Sherita Venible, Sheldon Collins, and Shenette Collins; and one grandson, Michael L. Davis, Jr.;  his mother, Marline Collins;  brothers: Samuel L. Collins, Jr., Anthony Collins, Sr.(Gail), and Herman Collins; two sisters: Cynthia Williams (Michael), and Jackie Collins; a devoted nephew, Samuel L. Collins III; god brother, Darren Miller; and a host of other nephews, nieces, devoted relatives and friends.
A service of remembrance will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday March 14, 2009, at Avenue L Baptist Church with Pastors Eric and Myra Billips presiding.
