Chris Metsikas passed away on March 23, 2009 at Ainsley Courte in Cypress, Texas.   He was born on December 24, 1923 in Kavala, Greece.  He was the son of the late Peter and Evangeline Metsikas and was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Caros Metsikas.

Chris is survived by his stepdaughter, Georgia Caros Marx of Tryon, North Carolina, and his stepson Christopher J. Caros of Houston, Texas.  He is also survived by his brother, Dimetrios Metsikas, his sister, Sotiria Atzemaker of Kavala, Greece, four grandchildren, one great-grandson, nieces and nephews. 

He was an active member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Galveston, Texas for over fifty years.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Malloy & Son Funeral Home in Galveston with burial to follow at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church in Galveston or the charity of your choice.
