 Tommy (Butch) Pearson, Jr., 65, of Galveston, Texas passed away at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Graveside services will be held at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 with Pastor Rick Cortez officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday, April 13, 2009 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston.
Butch was born July 24, 1943 to Tommy Pearson and Ila Alexander Pearson in Galveston, Texas. He attended Galveston Public Schools and earned his GED. He enjoyed darts, dancing and socializing with his friends. Butch was a retired roofer in Galveston and a member of A.C.T.S. Christian Church in Texas City. He was baptized in 1971 in Beaumont, Texas.
Preceded in death by his parents, son, Tommy (Trey) Pearson,III, brother, Bobby Pearson and grandson, David McComb, Tommy is survived by his wife, Charlotte Pearson of Galveston; daughters, Joyce Renee Pearson of Vidor, Texas, Pat Pearson of Georgia and Shere McComb of Galveston; sons, Tommy James (T.J.) Pearson of Vidor, Mike McComb of Galveston; sister, Joyce Fredericksen and fiancé, Vernon Ruark of Lumberton, Texas; brother, Mike Pearson and wife, Patty of Galveston; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends from Toni’s Lazy Lounge and Holland House.
Pallbearers will be Randy Culbreth, Corey Pearson, Michael McComb, Joey Pearson, Tony Munoz and Rex Brantley. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Walker and Pastor Rick Cortez.
