Cynthia Marie Jones- Stanley

Cynthia Marie Jones- StanleyCynthia Marie Jones- Stanley, 46, passed away from this earthly life on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at U.T.M.B. Hospital.

On August 20, 1962, in Los Angeles, CA, a baby girl was born to Robert, Jr. and Johnnie May Jones, they named her Cynthia. She accepted Christ at an early age, and served as a youth usher and in the choir, under the leadership of the late Rev. Ervin Johns of the St. Luke Baptist Church. Cynthia graduated with the class of 1980 from Ball High School. She attended Galveston College, where she received a certificate as a Unit Health Coordinator. Cynthia lived her life to the fullest, she enjoyed her profession, traveling, and family time. She was a very caring and giving person, with a strong faith in the Lord.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish the many memories of her life, husband, Eddie Stanley; devoted friend, Mark Anthony Roy; son, Terrance Stanley; daughter, Melanie Stanley; grandchild, Trennifer Stanley; sisters, Denise Player (Rodney, Sr.), Crystal Morgan (Anthony); uncles: Casey and Henry Jones; aunts: Vivian Jones, Mable Beasley, Gladys Wiley; nephew, Rodney Player, Jr.; nieces, Tranchelle and Trenise Player, Shelbie Morgan; devoted cousins, Barbara Simmons, Herman Shorter; and a host of other relatives. A special thanks to the staff of MICU at UTMB.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:45 am on Saturday, April 11, 2009, followed by a service to celebrate Cynthia's life at 11:00 am at the St. John Baptist Church, with Pastor L. Simpson, officiating. Burial will follow service at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston.
