Pasadena City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to award a contract of $4,785 to Coastal Testing Laboratories, Inc. for professional services to be rendered in connection with testing for the Richey Road Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation - Phase I Project.
Council Member Ralph Riggs noted that Council would be voting later in the meeting to purchase a camera that is capable of detecting problems in City sewer lines and commented that he is hopeful that this camera will detect problems before they become critical.
The city council voted unanimously to approve the purchase of one Aries Saturn III Standard Portable Sewer/Pipeline Inspection System from Aries Industries, Inc. for $54,396.
The city council voted unanimously to approve amendments to Ordinance Nos. 2007-156 and 2006-320 for additional inspection services for Project Surveillance, Inc. for the Pasadena Boulevard Phase II and Phase III Project. The amendments were approved for $30,000.
Councilmember Erv Brannon commented that he hopes this will be the last time the city council will have to approve an inspection on this project and that it will "be a blessing to get off Pasadena Boulevard".
All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present.
