Pearland City Council

Pearland City Council on Monday voted unanimously to approve the annexation of approximately 4.115 acres of land by Brazoria County Municipal Utility District No. 26.

The city council voted unanimously to approve expenditures by the Pearland Economic Development Corporation to extend water and sewer utility services along Hooper and Riley roads.

The city council voted unanimously to change the date of its May meeting to May 18 at 7:30 p.m. due to the Memorial Day holiday.

The city council voted unanimously to adopt a water conservation and drought contingency and water emergency response plan for the city. The plan was established to "promote the responsible use of water", and allows the city to disconnect water service for noncompliance with the plan.

The city council voted unanimously to deny an application for an increase in proposed rates by Texas-New Mexico Power Company.

The city council took no action regarding City Manager Bill Eisen's annual management evaluation. The item was discussed in executive session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
