The first post-Ike Galveston Historic Homes Tour has one day left to go--Mother's Day Sunday--a great day to take Mom out and treat her with a tour of 10 privately owned beautifully restored historic homes and a Mother's Day Champagne brunch. The Galveston Historic Homes Tour is always held each year during the first two weekends in May. Mother's Day Sunday is always the final day of the event.
Tickets to the Homes Tour's Traditional Mother's Day Champagne Brunch at the Garten Verein Pavilion are still available online at www.galvestonhistory.org through midnight tonight.
Galveston Historical Foundation invites community members to the final day of the tour tomorrow, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tickets cost $25 each. Full information at www.galvestonhistory.org.
Here, crowds wait in line to tour 1428 Church, which has been fully restored after flooding by four feet during Hurricane Ike.
