Carnes Brothers Funeral Home

Jesse Garcia, Jr.Jesse Garcia, Jr. age 52 of Galveston died Saturday, May 16, 2009 in Crosby, Texas.

Funeral services are 7:00pm Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home Father John Bok, OFM officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday.

Jesse was born December 24, 1956 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Jesse Garcia, Sr. and Janie Moya Violante. He was a carpenter by trade, was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working on the shrimp boats.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica where he served as an altar boy as a young man.

Preceded in death by his father, Jesse Garcia, Sr. survivors include his mother and step father, Janie and Guadalupe Violante; sisters, Sarah De Los Santos and husband Ernest, Theresa Garcia, Mary Jane Martinez and husband Tino, Irma Jean Heaton, Judith Underbrink, Angie Orta, and Linda Sims; brothers, Jimmy Garcia, Alton Garcia, and Louis Orta; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
