Mary Clegg RoseMary Clegg Rose, 94, of Galveston, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 

Mary’s family will receive visitors beginning at 5:00 pm, Thursday, June 4th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held at 6:00 pm, led by Deacon Robert Standridge.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, June 5th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home, led by Deacon Robert Standridge.  Entombment will follow the service at Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum in Hitchcock.

 

Mary was born March 13, 1915, in Galveston, Texas.  She worked as a clerk for C. P. Evans and Pearl Beer Distributing Company for 20 years, retiring in 2005.  She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church Altar Society.

 

Mary was preceded in death by her brothers: John Ryan, Percy Ryan, and Walter (Red) Ryan; sister, Ethel (Jim) Cruz; and grandson, Weldon Clegg, Jr.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Aldrich and husband, Richard, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son, Weldon Clegg and wife, Frances, of Galveston; brother, Frank Ryan and wife, Hazel, of Santa Fe, TX; grandchildren: Jimmy Clegg, Donna Leasure and husband, Phil; and Sheryl McKinnon and husband, Steve; granddaughter-in-law, Margaret Clegg; great grandchildren: Brandon Leasure, Megan Leasure, Kealii Clegg, and Alyssa McKinnon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Clegg, Richard Aldrich, Phil Leasure, Brandon Leasure, Kealii Clegg, and Jerry Lutomski.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Ryan and Donna Leasure.

 

Memorials may be made to Heritage Hospice, 1700 Louisiana Blvd. NE, Suite 320, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
