Brazoria County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to approve a request by the Dole Fruit Company and CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric to use and occupy the Brazoria County Fairgrounds in the event of a major storm evacuation.

The commissioners court pulled a "resolution to accept the Brazoria Bridge" from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint Trey Tickard to the Gulf Coast Center Board of Trustees.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint a committee to review design options for the facade of the East Annex. The committee's members will be Commissioner Matt Sebesta, Jr., County Clerk Joyce Hudman, Building Maintenance Director Dennis Cleveland and County Engineer Gerald Roberts.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve applicants for homebuyer assistance under the Brazoria County First Time Homebuyer Program.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a request to add two state-funded positions at WIC.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reject offers for purchase of tax foreclosed property. Three properties were being considered for purchase, each at a price of $250.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize advertisement of bids for the construction of utility towers at San Luis Pass RV Park.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
