Agnes Stoot Chambers

Agnes Stoot ChambersAgnes Stoot Chambers, 83, went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2009.  Agnes was born on April 1, 1926, in Washington, Louisiana to the late Joseph "Joe" and Rose Singleton Stoot.  She worked for many years as a breakfast cook at the Moody House, until her retirement.  She met and married John Albert Chambers.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Ollie East. 

She leaves to cherish the memories of her life, daughter, Bertha Guillory- Wheeler (Lloyd); sister, Hilda Young; nephews, Willie James Young (Ruby), Michael Young; nieces, Patricia Young, Paula Young- Kimble (Dover), and a host of other relatives and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19th, at 5:00 pm, followed by a rosary at 6:30 pm. and a funeral mass at 7:00 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Galveston with Father John Fajole celebrant. Graveside service for Mrs. Chambers will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 12 noon, in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lebeau, Louisiana.
