Liberty Fest Concert    

The Symphony of Southeast Texas proudly joins the City of Beaumont again this year for its annual Fourth of July Celebration Concert. The orchestra will play inside the Julie Rogers Theatre at 8:00pm on the 4th. Dr. Jimmy Simmons, President of Lamar University, will lead the group in old American standards, light classical works, and patriotic favorites. Selections will include 76 Trombones, an Oklahoma! medley, Moon River, and the ever popular Armed Forces Salute. The concert, sponsored by ExxonMobil, HEB, Marine Fueling, and the Symphony League of Beaumont is free and open to the public.

This performance begins the 2009-2010 concert season for the Symphony of Southeast Texas. Chelsea Tipton, II, the orchestra’s new Music Director will make his debut on October 17.
