Sharisse Annette White-Harris
E.R. Johnson Family Mortuary

Sharisse Annette White- Harris, affectionately known as “Sherry” was born August 18, 1958 to the late Annie Bell White and James D. White, Sr. Sherry attended Holy Rosary Catholic School, Central Middle School, and was a 1977 graduate of Ball High School. She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., for 30 years, and was a loving, dedicated, and caring mother, sister, aunt, and friend. You just had to know her, for indeed she was one of a kind. She was a friendly and outgoing person who loved life and laughter, and lived both to the fullest. Sherry held to her faith until June 23, 2009, surrounded by loved ones and the presence of the Almighty God at her bedside. 

Sherry was preceded in death by her mother, brother, James “Bullie” White, sister, Rhonda “Sue” White. 

Left to cherish the precious memories of her life, are her beloved husband, Karl Ernest Harris; son, Karl Vernon Harris; daughter, Sydnei Sharrise Harris; a devoted father, James D. White, Sr.; one loving and caring sister, Doris K. Burke (Philip); nephews, Calvin DeWayne Holloway, Antonio Harris, Phillip Burke, Jr.; niece, KaKesha L. Summons (Gregory); brother in law, Bruce E. Harris; three great nieces and one great nephew; aunts, Dorothy Cade, Dr. Thelma White, Eula White, Vernal White; uncles, George White, William White, Clarence Mosley; God mother, Joyce A. Daniels (Michael); devoted friends, Brenda Tottenham, Andrea Hilliard, Netra Terry, Pamela Britton; canine companion, Snow White-Harris, and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4- 6:00 pm, today, June 26, 2009, at E.R. Johnson Family Mortuary. A service to celebrate the life of Sharisse will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon, at Shiloh A.M.E. Church with Pastors Eric and Myra Billips, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston.
