GALVESTON-David Earl Johnson "Uncle Bobo", 57, received his reward of eternal rest on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, Texas surrounded by family. 

He is survived by his mother, Helen M. Collins of Galveston; brothers, Maurice Johnson, Jr. of Houston, Winchell Campbell of La Marque; sisters, Octavia Morgan-Johnson of La Marque, Barbara Anderson of Texas City; uncle and aunt, Boyd and Lorraine Hendricks of Galveston; nephew, Harold D. Johnson (Kenita) of  La Marque; great nephews, Dakari and Kai Johnson; great niece, Koi Johnson; cousins Deborah Wilson of Galveston, Terry and Sandra "Sam Sam" Toliver of La Marque, Ossie Stoneham and Cornelius Outlay of Galveston

Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Monday, June 29,2009, follow by a service celebrating his life at 11:00 AM in the chapel of E R Johnson Family Mortuary with Rev. Charles E. Wheat officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
