Alma Jean Wade, 77, received her reward of eternal rest on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at West Houston Medical Center.
Alma was born July 12, 1931, in Washington County, Texas, to Esque and Mattie Wells Wade. She loved to crochet, dance, and listen to James Brown’s “Big Pay Back”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Quentin Lenor; great grandson, Joel Everette Wade, Jr..
She leaves with precious memories daughters, Carolyn Jean Wade, and Velonie Shelton (Luther Jr.); grandchildren, Joel Everette Wade, Sr., Brock and Brandy Mc Neil, Michael, Jr., Kianti, and Edward Williams, and a host of great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2009, followed by a service celebrating her life at 2:00 PM in the chapel of E R Johnson Family Mortuary. Burial will follow at Rising Star Cemetery.
