Henry Bruce (H.B.) Mantzel, Jr.; passed away on Monday, July 13th, 2009 at his residence in Pasadena, Texas. A visitation will be held 6pm Saturday, July 18th  with a memorial service to follow at 7:00pm at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston , Pastor Steve O’Donohoe officiating.

H.B. was born in Galveston, Texas on November 14, 1939 to Henry and Mildred Mantzel.  He  graduated from Ball High School and was a machinist by trade working at Todd’s Shipyard in Galveston and various chemical plants throughout his lifetime.

Preceded in death by his father and sister, H.B. is survived by his mother, Mildred Mantzel, long time companion, Deborah Moody; daughter Lisa Meyer and husband Danny, son, Bruce Mantzel and daughter, Leslie Blacketer; grandchildren, Danny, Jr.  and Dawn Meyer, Tia, Gavin, Cassie, Travis and Garrett Mantzel and Charlotte and Ryan Blacketer; 4 great-grandchildren, aunts ,uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many long time friends.
