Eugenia Harris
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary
Eugenia Harris received her reward of a faithful servant at the blessed age of 103, on July 16, 2009 at the Baywind Village Care Center in League City, TX.
Eugenia was born on June 18, 1906, in Phelps, Texas to Aaron Spencer and Leona Baines. A longtime resident of Galveston she was retired and a active member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Galveston for several decades.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred Joseph Harris, Sr.; children, Leona “Sister”, Fred Joseph, Jr., Johnny, Alfred ‘Pokey”, Jesse and Robert Harris.
She leaves cherished memories with her numerous grand and great grandchildren, friends and the residents of Baywind Village Care Center.
Visitation will begin at 4 PM on today Thursday July 23rd followed by a wake from 6-7 PM. A service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2009 in the chapel of E R Johnson Family Mortuary with Pastor Norris D. Burkley, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
