Alvin Marshall Reynolds, 73, received his reward of eternal rest on July 31, 2009, at the Gamble's Personal Touch Care Home in Texas City.
Alvin was born on October 13, 1935, in Fort Bend, TX to Oliie and Robbie Smith Reynolds. A longtime resident of Galveston, he was retired from the Department of Commerce as a Inventory Manager. He was also a U S Army Veteran receiving a honorable discharge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and leaves with fond memories his wife, Avis Singleton Reynolds; sons, Jonathan Lee, Anthony Lee and Adrian Reynolds; brother, Robert Ollie Reynolds; adoptive family and friends of Kansas City, MO; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 5 PM on Monday, August 3rd followed by a wake from 7-8 PM at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Texas City. A service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, also at the church with Rev. Singleton officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Houston National Cemetery following the service.
