A Conversation with Robin Craig
photos by Lynda Guidry
Sunday, August 16, 2009

Hi.  I’m Pat Patton.  I have a very exciting and multi-talented guest today – Emmy Award Winning TV Producer, Robin Craig - Coordinating Producer for Cristina's Court.  During the past eight years, Robin has worked as a Producer for Texas Justice and Judge Alex and as Coordinating Producer for Cristina’s Court, three nationally syndicated court TV shows owned by Twentieth Television, a division of Fox.  Robin has truly enjoyed this work because she is also a paralegal. Listen: RealPlayer  MP3
Robin’s experience includes being a Casting Director, Location Scout and Location Manager for film and television, a television and movie actor, a Television host - Nashville Future Stars, TV Swap Shop, and TV Home Listings, a disc jockey on a country music radio station, and a VJ - video jockey on TV5, a local live music video station based in Houston, and Hit Video USA where she had over  5-1/2 million viewers!
She also appeared in a number of TV commercials, industrials and music videos and hosted the Sam Sneed Pro-Celebrity Golf Tournament for 8 years.  Robin is an acting teacher, a writer, a dynamic public speaker and Master of Ceremonies.
I first met Robin at a Gulf Coast Film & Video Festival (GCFVF) about eight years ago.  We have both been Master of Ceremonies and Presenters at various Gulf Coast Film & Video Festival Banquet’s throughout the years and we both value the friendships, and the opportunities to meet to actors we both admire and respect.  (For more information on GCFVF, call 281 -333-5804 or
Robin had the opportunity to experience one of life’s greatest thrills on June 20, 2008, when she won an Emmy Award as the Coordinating Producer for Cristina's Court, at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy’s in Hollywood.  Robin was so thrilled about winning her Emmy, she put the photo of her receiving the Emmy on her business cards.  Another highlight of the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards for Robin was meeting and having a photo taken with Barbara Walters, one of her icons.
Robin has also been nominated for another Emmy as the Coordinating Producer for Cristina's Court at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy’s on August 30, 2009, in Los Angeles.
During the interview Robin discussed how she became a TV Producer and what it is really like working on nationally syndicated court TV shows.  Robin’s tremendous passion and enthusiasm for her work makes it very clear why she won an Emmy award.
We talked about Robin moving to Nashville, Tennessee, where she hosted three local television shows:  Nashville Future Stars, TV Swap Shop, and TV Home Listings, and also how she became a Casting Director, Location Scout and Location Manager for film and television.
One of the goals of my interviews is to focus on accomplishing dreams and living lives of excellence.  As you will hear from the interview, Robin is creative and multi-talented, and has experienced success in a variety of very exciting careers.  Robin has certainly experienced having her dreams come true, especially when she won an Emmy Award in 2008.  But, as talented and creative as Robin is, it is her enthusiasm and passion about her work, her love of life, her belief in herself, and her gratitude and appreciation for everyone in her life, that makes her the perfect choice for this interview.
