Kenneth Ray River, 49, departed this life on Sunday, August 23, 2009, at his residence.
Kenneth was born December 13, 1959, in Galveston, where he attended and graduated from public school and was employed as chef.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ora River and leaves with cherish memories his daughter: Kennisha Mason; grandchildren: Josiah, Jamal, and Jaycyn Mason; grandmother: Laura Deberry; aunt: Lonnie Silas; beloved friends, Debbie Mason, Faye Baldwin, and "Shaky"; extended family: the Mason-Glenn family; a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation will begin at 5 PM on Friday, August 28th followed by a wake from 7-8 PM at E R Johnson Family Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at the College View C.O.G.I.C. (224 4th St. N, Texas City) with Pastor Herbert Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
