Dianthia Monique JamesDianthia Monique James, 30, passed on from this life into the arms of Jesus Christ on Monday, August 31, 2009, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, TX. 
Dianthia, a beautiful baby girl came into this world on April 10, 1979, in Galveston, TX.  She had a passion for reading and cooking with plans of attending culinary school. 

Dianthia is preceded in death by grandparents, Granison and Lovie Boone; uncle, Travis Boone, and aunt, Anita Hall.

She leaves to cherish the memories of her life, father, Milton James; mother, Diann James; brothers, Rev. Lloyd H. Pete, Courtney James, Adrian James; sisters, Yolanda Pete Fontenot, LaKeisha N. Davis (Joe), Aretha L. James, and Nedra Frenchwood; uncle, Granison Boone, Jr. (Cliff); aunts, Marie Sinegal, Rita Boone, Janice Hall (Jon); Godparents, Deacon Goree and Lula Birdwell; five nephews; seven nieces; devoted fiance', Edward Torres, and a host of cousins, friends and other relatives. 
Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, followed by a service celebrating the life of Dianthia at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church (1301 Avenue L, Galveston, TX) with Pastor Charles E. Wheat officiating.  Burial will follow at Mainland Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.
