Sherry Denise Williams age 47 of Galveston passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at her residence in Galveston. Funeral services are 11:00am Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Simpson officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a wake service at 7:00pm.

Sherry was born July 17, 1962 in Galveston to Albert Williams and Sylvia Mack Williams. She was a graduate of Ball High School class of 1980.She was a nurse aid and care giver with Texas Home Health. She was a Christian lady who enjoyed singing and dancing and was considered the Bright Light of any social gathering.  She was a good mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by her parents, survivors include, daughters, Sherry Thompson, Joeneisha Thompson, Penny Williams and Trina Williams; son, Albert Williams; sisters, Velencia Anderson, Vanessa Williams, Clara Anderson, Virginia Williams, and Cynthia Mack; brother, Thomas Mack; 7 grandchildren; devoted friends, Thomas Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Franklin, Jr., and Josephine “Mammy” Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
