Brazoria County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to exercise the county's local option to develop the Grand Parkway.

Six other commissioners courts have exercised the local option, pointing to the need to do so to locally construct the parkway, as opposed to project being under control of the Texas Department of Transportation.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a 2009 Tax Rate of $0.4262860 per $100 valuation.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt the Fiscal Year 2010 Budget. A public hearing was held on the budget before its approval.

The commissioners court voted 4-1, with Mary Ruth Rhodenbaugh opposed, to award a bid for fleet mowing services.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt an Anti-Fraud Policy.

The commissioners court voted 4-0-1, with Dude Payne abstaining from the vote, to adopt the 2010 budgeted salaries and positions in the County Clerk's Office.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve the 2010 budgeted salaries and positions for the county.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
