Steve H. Skelton, Jr., 92, passed away from this life on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at the Gulf Health Care Center, in Galveston. 

Steve was born on November 24, 1916, to the late Steve H., Sr. and Minnie Lee Skelton. He worked for the United States Postal Service for many years, until his retirement. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Vernon Skelton; sisters, Ruth Boswell, Norma Whitenhill, Jessie Boulden, Naomi Chassion, Minnie Simmons, and Joyce Cochran. 
He leaves to cherish memories of his life, wife, Bertha Skelton; stepson, Frank Bell IV (Dotsie); stepdaughters, Marsha Bell Jamison (Dr. L.J.), Lynette Bell Forte' (Billy); great niece, Valerie Boswell, and other family and friends. 

Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 A.M. at E.R. Johnson Family Mortuary on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. at Lakeview Cemetery, in Galveston, with Pastor Norris D. Burkley, Sr. officiating.
