Carl T. Mosby, Sr., 83, received his reward of eternal rest on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at his daughters' residence in Fresno, TX.
Carl was born February 2, 1926, in San Augustine, TX to EliJah and Eliza Mosby. A Longtime resident of Galveston he was retired from the Galveston Housing Authority and was a faithful member of Sunlight Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Mae Mosby, children, Marie Norris, Shirley Vaughn, Norvell Butler (Gwen), and Carl T. Mosby, Jr. (Yvonne); eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Cooper and Arrie L Simpson (O.D.); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2009, followed by a service celebrating his life at 11:00 AM at the Sunlight Baptist Church with Pastor A.C. Tryon officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, TX
