Sandra Ann Milliff age 66 of Port Bolivar died Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at her vacation home in Nacogdoches. Funeral services are 4:00 pm Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Port Bolivar First United Methodist Church in Galveston Reverend Marty Boddie officiating. Burial will follow at Port Bolivar Cemetery in Port Bolivar under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Saturday.
Sandra was born October 4, 1943 in Galveston, Texas to Vernon Smith and Theresa Coldiron Smith. She was a member of Port Bolivar First United Methodist Church. She was a great cook, a lady who loved her family, enjoyed fishing and taking trips to the Louisiana Casinos with her friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, daughter, Anita Gail Walker, and her second husband, Lawrence Elbert “Jim” Milliff survivors include, son, Robert Lee Walker and fiancé Cathy Cox of Nacogdoches; mother, Theresa Smith of Lockhart; brother, Roger Smith and wife Doris of Lockhart; grandson, Robert Lawrence Walker of Port Bolivar’ granddaughter, Gail Annette Walker of Port Bolivar; niece, Molly Smith of Lockhart; numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Rodney Clark Coldiron, Arthur “Butch” Barrow, Raymond Wilson, Bob Walker, and Andy Wayne Coldiron. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Lawrence Walker, Chance Duane Sievers and John Henry Franklin.
