Ribbon cutting and open house for teacher certification center

TEXAS CITY - The Partners in Alternative Certification for Teachers (PACT) at College of the Mainland will hold a ribbon cutting and open house November 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. at its new location in the Appomattox Square Office Park across the esplanade from the College.

The public is invited to the open house that includes a ribbon cutting at 4:15 p.m. followed by refreshments and a tour of the center.

There will be an information meeting at 6 p.m. for anyone holding a bachelor’s degree that wishes to become a primary or secondary school teacher.
