LINC Houston and Christmas Toy Drive

LINC Houston currently has over 30 mission groups worshipping in more than 8 different languages.  Most of our missionaries are working in under served neighborhoods that are populated by low income families who can barely meet basic needs of food and housing costs.

At Christmas, our missionaries distribute toys to families in their community who cannot afford them, families with whom they want to share the story of God’s Christmas gift of Jesus. In these communities, there is much need due to devastation from Hurricane Ike and loss of employment due to the down shift in the economy. When there is an income, it is barely enough to cover necessities, so Christmas toys are an extravagance they would not be able to afford. And just one new toy could turn the holiday around for these families, giving them hope and showing them that someone cares.

We ask you to consider having a group partner with missionaries in the local mission field by donating either funds or toys for distribution through the special Christmas events at the different mission churches.  This could be a group at Church, a group of friends, a group from work, or a random group.
