VETERANS DAY CEREMONY AT SFHS SLATED
Santa Fe High School cordially invites the public to attend our Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11th at 9:30 am. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held in Joe Raitano Stadium. The ceremony will be relocated to the gym if inclimate weather arises. This ceremony is a way to thank living veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served - not only those who died - have sacrificed and done their duty.
The ceremony will include special appearances from the US Marines Honor Guard, a US Army Chaplain, a US Army Major conducting the Oath of Enlistment for future soldiers from SFHS that have enlisted in the US Army, US Marines or US Navy, and most importantly, recognition of all current service men, women and veterans. US Army (Retired) Colonel Bob Crow will deliver the ceremony address with a special tribute performed by the SFHS Band. Land assets will be in attendance provided by the different branches of service and will be available for viewing after the ceremony.
On this day, we will pay appropriate homage to the veterans of all its wars who have contributed so much to the preservation of our Nation. Please join us!
