Large crowds gathered at the Golden Triangle Veterans Memorial Park to celebrate Veterans Day.
Jim White, Park Chair of VFW Post 4820 opened the ceremony followed by the firing of a cannon.
Chester Foret, Chaplain of VFW Post 4820, gave the invocation with introductions of guests by Herb Stafford, Commander of the Post.
The guests included Congressman Ted Poe; Jefferson County Commissioners Bo Alford, Mark Domingue and Michael Sinegal; and Sheriff Mitch Wood.
Speeches were by Commissioner Domingue and Joe Bernard from ABC Construction.
