Bruce Joseph Barsock

Bruce Joseph BarsockBruce Joseph Barsock, 57, departed this life on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.

Bruce was born and educated in Galveston and worked for Annidizing Steel until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Barsock Dorsey and brother, Herbert Barscok.

He leaves to cherish memories, daughters, Bridgette Simmons Temple (Daryl) of La Marque and Artesha Barsock of Needville; sons, Bruce J. Barscok, Jr. (Amanda) and Donte' Williams both of Houston; loving father, Franklin N. Dorsey of Galveston; sibling, Myrtle"Lisa"Hardeman, Valerie Venible, Frankie McGowen (Gene), Veronica Wright (Bill); grandchildren, Damiya Temple and Amandria Barsock; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank all friends and family for their kindness and expression of sympathy which has been extended to us during our time of bereavement. Special thanks to the Houston Kidney Foundation Southwest.

Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Thursday, November 19, 2009, followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM in the chapel of E R Johnson Family Mortuary with Rev. Michael Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
