Rosa Lee Taylor, 88, departed this life on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Gulf Health Care Center in Texas City.

Rosa was born  on October 28, 1921, to the late Lloyd D. and Lottie C. Helms in Barbara County , AL. She accepted Christ at an early age in Dothan, AL. She was a member of Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church in Midland, AL where she served with the Ladies Aide until she moved to Galveston, Texas. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Homer Taylor, Sr. and son, Homer Taylor, Jr.. She leaves to cherish memories her sons, Jacob Taylor of Midland City, AL and Tommy F. Taylor of Galveston, TX; a loving sister, Lola P. Miller of Galveston; five grandchildren; Teresa (Christopher) Woods of Ft. Campbell, KY, Melissa Breedlove, Catina Taylor, Regina (Kenya) Lester, and Jacob Taylor, Jr. all of Midland City, AL; 11 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 11 AM on Saturday, November 21, 2009, followed by a life celebration at 2:00 PM in the chapel of E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary with Rev. N. D. Burkley, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery
