Anthony was born on March 12, 1955, in Houston, TX, and attended public school in Galveston. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elda Ruth Thomas; sibling Roy, Carl and Linda Austin.

He is survived by his father, James Austin, Sr.; sister, Pat Brown; brothers, James, Austin, Jr., all of Bay City, Reginald Austin of Houston, Kenneth Austin and Herman Lee Thomas both of Galveston; special niece, Malaya Grice; host of nieces, nephews, other relative and his friends in Sandpiper Cove (Parkland).

A service of remembrance will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24,2009 at E R Johnson Family Mortuary. There will be no visitation or wake.
