Anthony Salcido age 65 of Galveston died, Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Bay Oaks Health Care Center in Texas City. Funeral services are 12:00 noon Monday, December 7, 2009 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 9:00 am.

Anthony was born January 20, 1944 in Galveston to Tony Jimenez Salcido and Consuelo Santos Salcido. He was a 1962 graduate of Ball High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country honorably in Vietnam. He was employed as an operating room technician at Shriners Hospital retiring with over 35 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, survivors include his brother, Ronnie and Janie Cruz Salcido; nieces, Rachel and Sonia Salcido and great niece, Raine Mejia all of Galveston; numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are David Santos, Tim Santos, Greg Santos, Joe Rey Santos, Richard Bejar-Gillard, and Rachel Salcido.
