Allean E. Spiller
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary

Allean E. Spiller, 87, received her reward of eternal rest on Friday, December 4, 2009, at her residence.

Allean was born on September 28, 1922, in Brazoria, Texas to George and Elizabeth Johnson Spiller. She was the first born of seven children. She was baptized at Zion Temple AME Church and later attended Jerusalem public schools in Brazoria, Texas.

She later moved to Houston and began her career in domestic work, which later led to her employment with Houston Independent School District as a cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Evan Spiller, Ervin Spiller, Wilson Alexander; sisters, Mille Spiller and Sibenna Spiller Woodard.

She leaves with cherished memories, sister, Georgia Spiller Jackson; brother, Harry Spiller; nieces and nephews, Lois Kirks (Dorsey), Geraldine Hebert, Sandra Woodard, Michael Woodard (Julian), Harry Woodard, Wanda Woodard, Renda Hardeman, Lois Spiller, Charsalyn Jackson Leach, Jacqueline Spiller, Jerome Spiller, Michelle Spiller, Ervin Spiller, Jr., Roshelle Johnson, Latrecia Spiller and Kendel Spiller and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 8th followed by a service celebrating her life at 12 Noon at the Rising Star Baptist Church with Pastor D.N. Benford, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Rising Star Cemetery in La Marque.
