Beulah M. Shepard
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary

Beulah M. ShepardBeulah M. Shepard, 100, received her reward of eternal rest on Sunday, December 6, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Beulah was born August 13, 1909 in Galveston to Sancho and Josephine Crain. She was a graduate of Central High School and later attended Howard University. She was retired from UTMB after 28 years of service. She was a member of the Daughters of Isis, had 2,500 hour of volunteer service, was a faithful member of  the Avenue L Baptist Church, and also had served as a musician for the Progressive Baptist Church in Galveston. After moving to Beaumont with her daughter, she was affiliated with Bethel Bible Ministry for the past three years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas "Tom" Shepard, Jr. and her siblings.

She leaves with precious memories, a devoted and caring daughter, Veronica Holmes (Terrence) of Beaumont; son, Thomas 'Billy" Shepard III of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Michael, Hannah, Joseph and Rachel Holmes; and many other extended family and friends. She was a friend to all and no one was a stranger to her.

Visitation will begin at 5PM on Friday, December 11th followed by a wake from 7-8 PM  E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary. A service celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at the Avenue L Baptist Church, Rev. E. R. Johnson Pastor and Rev. Curtis B. Alexander eulogist. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery
